Liebherr SBS26S0 Freestanding 48-Inch Stainless Repair

Standing on its own between cabinets or against a wall, the SBS26S0 is a 48-inch stainless side-by-side that was sold from 2006 to 2010. Unlike an integrated pair, it has a front you can reach, which makes the first checks easy and keeps the condenser exposed to whatever the kitchen throws at it.
We pull the unit forward only as far as the water line allows and vacuum the condenser and the fan. Then we test both gaskets, the door alignment and the electronic control. Dual refrigeration means two evaporators, so we also look at the frost pattern in the freezer and the fan in the refrigerator.
The IceMaker valve and fill tube are tested if ice has slowed. Pricing comes in writing before work, and a 30-day workmanship warranty backs the repair.
Once or twice a year in a home with pets or open cooking. Dust insulates the coil and the compressor runs longer. We vacuum it during every visit and show you where it is.
A tilted cabinet, a worn gasket or a rolled-out leveling foot is the cause. We level the unit, test the gasket and adjust the door so it swings shut on its own.
The refrigerator and freezer have separate evaporators and fans, so air and humidity are not shared. One side can fail without the other, which is why we test each side on its own.
