On Liebherr IceMaker setup screens, as on the HC 2090G and the WF1061, the codes E1 through E8 are a setting rather than an alert. They choose how much water fills the ice cube tray: E1 is the shortest supply time and E8 the longest. Seeing one of these in setup mode simply shows the level currently selected, and nothing needs repair.
1. Open setup mode and find the IceMaker water quantity item. 2. If cubes come out too small, step toward E8; if the tray overfills, step toward E1. 3. Leave setup mode and wait for a few trays to judge the result. 4. If no ice forms at all, check the water shut-off valve and call us if it is open.
They are the water quantity levels for the ice cube tray. E1 gives the shortest supply time and E8 the longest. They are settings in setup mode, not alarms.
Start in the middle. If cubes are too thin or small, move up toward E8 for more water. If the tray overfills, go down toward E1. Check after a few batches.
No. These E values describe the fill time you chose. An actual ice maker problem shows as a flashing IceMaker LED or an ice maker alarm instead, which is a different thing.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
