On Liebherr US NoFrost combined units such as the HCB 1560 and CBS 2062, the temperature display and the alarm LED start flashing when a compartment gets too warm. A door left open and a big load of fresh food are the situations the alarm is designed around, but an actual cooling problem produces the same picture. The flashing stays until the cause has been removed, so it keeps asking for attention.
1. Shut all doors and drawers firmly and check for items holding them open. 2. Think back: did you load a lot of warm food? Allow a few hours for it to cool. 3. Wipe the door gaskets and look for gaps. 4. If the display is still flashing after half a day with nothing wrong, move perishables to a cooler and call us.
The unit is warning you that a compartment is too warm. Common reasons are an open door, a gasket gap, or a large amount of fresh food. It will keep flashing until the cause is gone.
Remove the cause: close the doors, let new food cool, and keep openings short. As the compartment returns to its set temperature the flashing ends on its own, so nothing needs to be pressed.
If it continues for half a day or more with doors shut and no new food, the unit is not cooling properly. At that point we diagnose the cooling system and tell you the price before any work.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
