Liebherr HC1070 Tank IceMaker Repair

Without a plumbed connection, the HC1070 relies on a water tank in the freezer to feed its IceMaker. That makes it one of the easiest integrated units to place, and it also means ice depends on a tank that must be filled, seated, and clean. Mineral film and a tank that is not fully in place are the most common reasons ice stops.
We check the tank, its seat and the pump or feed that moves water into the mold, then the freezer temperature. The 6.92 cubic foot refrigerator and 2.4 cubic foot freezer cool independently, so we test each with a thermometer. The soft-closing system and gasket on the right-hand door come next, with the fan and defrost heater after.

Rinse it regularly, every few weeks, with mild soap and fresh water. Mineral film builds quickly, and we can show you how to seat it properly when we visit.
The tank can be unseated, the feed can be blocked, or the freezer can be too warm for ice. We test the seat, the feed and the freezer temperature in turn, then quote the part that fails.
No, water comes from a tank rather than a house line, so there is no supply valve or line to leak behind the unit. Water issues are limited to the tank, the feed and the defrost drain.
