Liebherr SF5291 Freestanding Freezer Repair

The SF5291 is a freestanding NoFrost freezer, placed in a garage, a pantry, a basement or a kitchen corner, because it does not need a built-in cutout. Freestanding units collect more dust and see more door traffic than built-in ones, and a garage adds temperature swings on top of that.
We start by pulling the freezer out far enough to reach the back and the condenser, then clean and check airflow. NoFrost is the next focus: a heater melts frost off the coil, a sensor ends the cycle and a fan moves cold air. If any one of them drifts, ice builds up and the freezer loses temperature gradually.
The door gasket and hinge are checked as well, since moist air entering at the seal feeds frost on the coil. You receive a written price before any work, and our repair is backed by a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Many do, but large temperature swings make the compressor work unevenly. We check the condenser and the sensor readings, and tell you if the location is part of the problem.
Ice touching the fan blade or a worn fan motor is the usual cause. We inspect the evaporator area, clear any ice and test the fan before suggesting a replacement.
Leave enough room for air to move around the back and top. We check the spacing during the visit and adjust the position if the compressor shows signs of overheating.
