Liebherr SBS70I4 Fully Integrated Side-by-Side (48-Inch) Repair

Appearing in the 2014 design guide, the SBS70I4 joins an HF 861 freezer to an HRB 1120 refrigerator in a 48-inch integrated pair with panels on the doors. At 18.62 cubic feet, it is the newest of the older side-by-sides we service, and the soft closing system is what we expect to wear first.
A damper that has lost resistance lets a door slam or stop short of the latch. We replace it, then check how the panel hangs, because the extra weight loads the hinge. Next comes the freezer: frost, drain and heater. In the refrigerator we test the fan, the gasket and the LED lights.
The IceMaker, rated at 1.7 pounds per 24 hours, can be switched off, and we use that when we test the supply. A written price comes before work, and a 30-day workmanship warranty covers the repair.
It slows the last few inches of door travel so the door closes quietly and seals. When its damper fails, the door slams or stays slightly open. We replace the damper and test the seal.
It is a climate class rating, which tells you the ambient room range the cabinet is designed for. A hot garage or unvented alcove strains it, so we check clearance and ventilation.
A scaled inlet valve or a frozen fill tube is the common cause. We time a cycle, check the water flow, and replace the valve if it fails. You can also switch the IceMaker off if you want.
Book in about a minute, or call the desk. Same-day windows inside the Loop on most days, next-day across the rest of Houston.
