Liebherr HC1050 Integrated IceMaker Repair

Tucked behind a cabinet panel, the HC1050 packs an IceMaker into a 24-inch fully integrated cabinet. Space is tight: the water line, the valve and the freezer share the lower part of the unit, and anything that leaks or freezes there has nowhere to go.
When ice stops, we trace the water from the shutoff through the line to the valve, and test flow at the valve itself. A valve that opens only partway gives thin, partial cubes and is the most frequent cause in older units. Then we check the defrost heater, the right-hand gasket, and the fan on each circuit, since the two circuits cool separately.
We remove and refit the panel as needed and protect the floor near the connection. Price in writing first, and a 30-day workmanship warranty on the repair.
A scaled valve, a frozen fill tube or a closed shutoff are the first suspects. We test flow at each point, then check the freezer temperature, because ice needs a cold enough tray.
Connections and valves can weep over the years. We inspect the line and fittings, replace worn parts, and run a leak test before we leave so you can see the connection stays dry.
The door opens from the right. In a narrow galley the swing and drawer clearance matter, so we check both when we inspect the door seal.
