Liebherr HC1001B Sliding Fridge-Freezer Repair

Left-hinged and sliding, the HC1001B is the mirror of the HC1000B and the later successor in the same 24-inch integrated line. The sliding hardware takes the cabinet front along as the door opens, so a mis-set rail can look like a door problem when it is really an alignment one.
We start with the sliding hardware and the unit leveling, then the gasket along the hinge side, which flattens on a left-hinged door where the cabinet restricts opening. Next we test the fan and the freezer defrost heater. With a 2.4 cubic foot freezer, frost shows up fast if the door does not seat.
The leveling rails and adjustable feet make most alignment fixes possible in place. We quote in writing first, and our work carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.
The sliding rails or feet have shifted, so the front drifts out of line. We re-level the unit and adjust the rails to restore the gap.
Same cabinet size and capacities, but the hinge is on the left. Hinge-side parts differ between the two, so we match the model number and hinge side before we order anything.
A poorly seated door or worn gasket lets humid air in, which builds frost. We test the seal first, then the defrost heater and sensor.
