On Liebherr US NoFrost units such as the HCB 1560, CBS 2062 and HC 1570G, the power failure LED lights when the freezer section got too warm during a power failure. The Alarm icon then shows the highest temperature that was reached. Read that figure before touching the food, since it tells you how far the freezer climbed and how much of the load has thawed.
1. Read the temperature on the Alarm icon. 2. Check frozen items: hard ones are fine, thawed ones should be cooked or discarded. 3. Confirm plug and breaker are on. 4. Clear the alarm with its button after reading. If the LED returns without an outage, call us.
The freezer section warmed too much while power was out. The Alarm icon shows the peak temperature so you can judge how much thawing happened.
Food that is still cold and holds ice crystals can stay frozen. Fully thawed items or those sitting in liquid should be used right away or thrown out.
Read the temperature first, then press the alarm button to acknowledge it. If the LED comes back with no outage, call us because something else is interrupting power.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
