On Liebherr US refrigerator-freezers with an IceMaker, such as the HCB 1560 and HC 2090G, an ice maker that produces nothing has a short checklist before service. Confirm the appliance is plugged into a live outlet, the ice maker is switched on, the water line shut-off valve is open, the freezer drawers are closed, and the ice bin is installed. Any one of these stops production.
1. Check the plug, outlet and that the appliance is on. 2. Make sure the IceMaker is switched on at its control. 3. Open the water shut-off valve fully. 4. Push the freezer drawers closed and seat the ice bin properly. 5. Wait a day for ice to build. If nothing forms, call us.
Start with the five basics: power, ice maker switched on, water valve open, drawers closed and bin installed. Any one missing stops ice, and all five are quick to check.
A fresh start takes many hours to fill the tray and drop the first cubes. Give it a full day before deciding the ice maker is still not working.
When power, switch, water line, drawers and bin are all right and a day passes with no ice. Then the problem is in the water inlet or ice maker itself, and we book a visit.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
