On site we record the model and serial numbers from the data plate, photograph the display and the problem area, and write a plain description of what we found. You can send that report to your provider with your claim.
If you choose to pay for repair yourself, you get a written price before work and our 30-day workmanship warranty on the repair. Either way the decision stays with you.
